  • Why do I need to recertify?

    Requiring our alumni to recertify allows us to ensure that they are regularly continuing their education, remaining active in the community and providing the most up to date evidence-based care to their clients

  • How often do I need to recertify?

    Doulas must recertify every 2 years

  • What are the recertification requirements?

    In order to recertify alumni must have: supported at least 2 clients Attended at least two maternal health seminars/workshops/trainings in the past 24 months

  • Is there a fee to recertify?

    The rectification fee is $200. This covers: Administration and processing fees, a new ID, CPR recertification training (if needed)

  • What if I don't need CPR training will I receive a discount?

    No, the recertification cost is a flat fee

  • Ok, I'm ready to recertify, how do I do it?

    Click the "get started now" button below. Fill out the form and upload all of your documentation. Pay the recertification fee

  • What happens after I complete the application process?

    Allow us 10-15 business days to process your application. If additional documentation is needed, we will let you know. Once your application is approved you will receive an email from us letting you know that your certification is updated and letting you know your new recertification date. You will receive your new ID within 30days.

  • What if I wasn't trained through Gifted Hands? Can I complete this recertification process in ordder to receive a Gifted Hands Certification.

    No. Only Gifted Hands Alumni can use the recertification path. Individuals who were trained through another organization and want to receive our certification must take our full course.
